This is going to be hard
Thirty odd years ago my husband and I bought our first house. We picked out the lot, selected our preferred colors, and made all those other choices one must make when having a house built. This was not our dream home, and we never intended to be here more than five years. We raised our babies here, made friends, had parties and our children grew up and went off to college. For one month we had an empty nest. Then my father-in-law moved in and we got to enjoy having him closer for several years. Time has passed and now our little home is bursting at the seams. Our adult children, their children, a fiancé, and two kitties now call this place home. The world is so difficult for young people to navigate these days. While we are in a position to help, we will.
Which brings me to the hard part. It’s time to say goodbye to this home and the friends that we’ve made. It means leaving the area and moving to another state. Our search for something suitable in the area has been unsuccessful, so we’ve decided to expand our search. That part makes me sad. We’ve made so many friends here and I’ve had so much fun teaching you all through private lessons, and lessons at the Art Store, libraries, the Everson and pubs.
It also brings me to the realization that the classes I’ve been able to offer here in my studio must come to a halt. If you have a lesson already booked with me; no worries you’re fine. If you have been waiting to book a lesson with me, please contact me asap to get on my now very limited schedule. The best way is through email eva@evahunterart.com
While in the process of packing up my studio it occurred to me that perhaps I ought to offer an opportunity for people to stop by and have a chance to pick up a favorite painting, jewelry, card, print, or scarf while saying good-bye. Then I wouldn’t have to pack it all! So, save the date of Saturday August 15, 2026. I’m going to host my own art show and sale, and I’d love for you to stop by! Look for more information and a special invitation soon!
Thank you for being a fan and for supporting my art all these years. I’ll still be in business and always willing to ship items back to Syracuse when needed. Don’t be shy!
Stay tuned for news about our journey/adventure across states. Who knows where we’ll land? (Really, we’re not even sure yet!)
