Bring On The Sunshine!

Hello and welcome to warmer days, sunny skies and more opportunities to enjoy nature. I don’t know about you, but I feel more energized during these coming warmer months. Oh, to be outside again! Nature has always inspired my art, and I can’t wait to get back out there to paint. Here’s my favorite way to find a little peace: take a walk into the forest, find a clearing that speaks to you, sit down, take deep breaths and slowly let them out, close your eyes, listen to the sounds of the forest. Are the leaves rustling, are the birds singing, what do you hear if you listen more deeply? Is there water nearby? Are the bugs buzzing? Feel the sun on your face, breathe it in, and let it warm you from the inside out. Spend as much time as you can just sitting and letting the trees embrace you.

Dragon Days is a new watercolor painting and is framed and ready to enhance your space with a little bit of nature. Size is 10 × 10-inches in a 13 × 13-inch frame. The frame is so COOL too! It has dragonflies on it! Check it out here https://evahunterart.com/flower/p/dragon-days

Last month I told you about my journey to become a certified Neurographica Specialist. I am thankful for those of you who volunteered to let me practice on you and I am happy to say that I received my official certification June 13, 2025. Yay me! Your support and encouragement means much to me, and I appreciate you. Thank you! Check out my new Neurographica workshop at the Art Store, Saturday July 19 11:00-2:00. You can sign up here all materials are provided.

I have new artwork to add to my website and new classes to add as well. But before I do all that I’m going on vacation to one of my favorite places to be (Colorado)! They have some pretty high temperatures predicted while I’m there. I promise to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated! The mountains still have snow which means we may have some refreshing breezes during our hikes and plein air painting sessions. I’m looking forward to refilling my whimsy and joy with the beautiful scenery of the Colorado Rockies. In the meantime, I leave you with this new painting titled Colorado Dreaming. It’s a watercolor on mineral paper and you’re getting the first peek at it here!

Enjoy your day!

Colorado Dreaming, a watercolor painting on mineral paper. Available soon.
